Installation Notes

An metal frame is required when installing Green Screens inside an HVAC unit to properly hold the filters in place.

For wall or ceiling returns, you have flexibility:
✔ Use the metal frame, or
✔ Use a fixed grid you can easily install in your return opening (check out both options)

In fact, poor airflow and dust on the unit's coils from inefficient filters are the leading causes of HVAC system failure... which as most people know happens in the heat of the summer when you need your ac the most.

 Important Note:

We do not recommend this filter for homes with shedding pets. Because the entire filter is tacky, pet hair can collect quickly on the surface and cause it to clog faster than normal.

Recommended Alternative:
For homes with shedding pets, we suggest the Green Screen MERV 10. Its tacky layer is positioned at the final stage of airflow, allowing pet hair to collect all through the filter, helping extend filter life.

Long-Lasting Performance
Our filters can last up to 2-3 months while still maintaining strong airflow. Though pleated filters state they will last up to 90 days, most homes should change them every month because of the airflow restriction.
(Homes with pets, high occupancy, or severe allergies may require more frequent changes; homes with multiple filter locations can last longer)

Available in sizes listed above.  All filters are made in nominal sizes (even pleated) which are always smaller than actual sizes so they can fit the opening.

Every home/location is different. While our filters often last longer than standard options, we recommend monitoring performance regularly. Waiting too long to replace a filter can:
