1" Blue Screen with Frame MERV 7 – Starter Pack
Product Description
The MERV 7 Blue Screen is the best value in air filtration. Designed for efficiency and affordability, it captures dust and particles while maintaining strong airflow. The durable metal frame is a one-time purchase that securely holds the Blue Screen in place. This system can be used inside an HVAC unit or in a wall or ceiling return for versatile installation.
What’s Included
- 3 Blue Screen air filters
- Durable metal frame (one-time purchase)
- Rubber foam tape for a secure, airtight seal (if needed for your frame)
- Printed installation instructions with best practice tips
Installation Notes
A metal frame is required when installing Blue Screens inside an HVAC unit to properly hold the filters in place.
For wall or ceiling returns, there are two options:
✔ Use the metal frame, or
✔ Use a fixed grid that can be easily installed in the return opening
Why Choose Blue Screen
- Best Value: $4 less than the Green Screen MERV 10
- Ideal for Commercial Use or Homes Without Allergy Concerns
- Perfect for Homes with Multiple Pets and Frequent Filter Changes
- Durable and Cost-Effective: Designed for regular replacement without sacrificing performance
Perfect for Remodeling
Blue Screens are highly recommended during construction or remodeling projects.
Benefits:
- Change as often as weekly if needed
- More cost-effective than higher MERV filters
- Helps reduce dust buildup in ducts and HVAC systems
⚠️ Warning: Avoid cheap store-bought filters during remodeling. They allow significant dust to pass through, which can lead to costly duct and coil cleaning later.
Sizing Information
Available in multiple sizes listed above. All filters are made in nominal sizes, which are slightly smaller than actual sizes to ensure a proper fit.
Example:
20×25×1 Regular = 19 5/8" × 24 5/8" × ¾"
Important Note on Filter Life
Every home and location is different. While Blue Screen filters often last longer than standard options, performance should be monitored regularly.
Waiting too long to replace a filter can:
- Increase energy usage
- Strain the HVAC system
- Lead to costly repairs or breakdowns
